If you’re missing one tooth, several teeth, or struggling with a loose denture, dental implants can give you a stronger bite, a more confident smile, and long-term stability. At Cranford Dental Arts, Dr. Jayshree Sawhney offers customized implant solutions — from single implants to full-arch treatment — in a calm, supportive setting.
Every case starts with a detailed consultation so we can understand your goals, evaluate your bone, and design a plan that fits your health, comfort level, and budget.
No two smiles — or implant cases — are exactly the same. We’ll help you understand the pros and cons of each option so you can feel confident choosing what’s best for you.
We review your medical and dental history, take the appropriate x-rays and/or 3D imaging, and discuss your goals. You’ll see what’s happening with your teeth and bone and what options make sense for you.
If you’re a candidate for implants, we design a step-by-step treatment plan. This may include tooth removal, bone grafting when needed, and strategic placement of your implants to support crowns, bridges, or full-arch prosthetics.
Implants need time to integrate with your bone. During this period, we protect healing areas and, when appropriate, can provide temporary teeth. Once healed, we attach your final, custom restorations designed to match your smile.
If you’ve been told you “need all your teeth out,” are tired of a loose denture, or have been patching things for years, a full-arch implant solution may be worth a conversation. In many cases, we can use a small number of implants to support an entire arch of teeth.
Many patients are candidates for implants if they are in good general health and have enough bone to support the implant posts. If you’ve been missing teeth for a while or have had gum disease, we may recommend bone grafting or other steps first. The best way to know is a consultation with appropriate imaging.
With good home care and regular dental visits, implants are designed as a long-term solution. While no treatment can be guaranteed for life, many implants last for decades. The crowns or bridges attached to implants may eventually need maintenance or replacement due to normal wear.
Most patients are surprised by how manageable the process feels. We use local anesthesia and can discuss additional comfort options when appropriate. Mild soreness or swelling is common after placement but is usually well controlled with home care instructions and recommended medications.
Costs vary depending on how many teeth are being replaced, whether bone grafting is needed, and the type of final restoration. During your consultation, we’ll outline a personalized plan, review estimated fees, and discuss any insurance benefits or financing options that may apply.
Hi, this is Dr. Sawhney at New Jersey Dental Arts Group. Today we're talking about whether you are a good candidate for dental implants.
There are a lot of different categories that we look at before we decide whether you're a good candidate. Some of the things we look at are your vitamin D levels, your cholesterol levels, how your blood pressure is doing, and whether you have any allergies to certain medications or materials.
There are many more factors we consider as well, because implants are a medical and dental treatment that needs to work with your whole body.
If you would like to learn more or find out whether dental implants might be right for you, please call us at New Jersey Dental Arts Group. We would love to answer your questions.
Hi, this is Dr. Sawhney at New Jersey Dental Arts Group. Today we're going to be talking about how long dental implants last.
Have I seen implants last 30 or 40 years? Yes. I've seen beautiful work done by amazing dentists that has lasted many, many years.
Have I seen implants fail? Yes, that can happen too. There are certain variables, like how a patient takes care of them at home, how much load or pressure they put on them, and what the patient's overall biological health is.
There are a lot of different factors that can affect how an implant heals and how it does over time. If you have more questions, please call us at New Jersey Dental Arts Group. I would love to answer your questions.
Hi, this is Dr. Sawhney at New Jersey Dental Arts Group. Today we’re going to answer the question: how much do dental implants cost?
The reality is, it all varies. The cost depends on the position of the implant, the type of implant we are using, and how much work we have to do around it.
Sometimes there is additional work. For example, if there is an infected tooth that needs to be removed, we may need to do grafting, wait for healing, and then place the implant. Each of those steps can affect the overall cost.
Your insurance also plays a role. It depends on what insurance you have, how much they cover, and whether we are in-network or out-of-network for your plan. There are many variables, which is why it's hard to give one exact price.
There is a reasonable range, and we work within that range depending on where the implant is, what is needed, and how we can best help you. Please give us a call at New Jersey Dental Arts Group and I would love to answer your questions.
Whether you’re missing one tooth or many, a conversation is the first step. We’ll listen to your concerns, review your images, and outline clear next steps — even if that means a simple short-term plan while you think about long-term treatment.
