There are a lot of different categories that we look at before we decide whether you're a good candidate. Some of the things we look at are your vitamin D levels, your cholesterol levels, how your blood pressure is doing, and whether you have any allergies to certain medications or materials.
There are many more factors we consider as well, because implants are a medical and dental treatment that needs to work with your whole body.

Have I seen implants last 30 or 40 years? Yes. I've seen beautiful work done by amazing dentists that has lasted many, many years.
Have I seen implants fail? Yes, that can happen too. There are certain variables, like how a patient takes care of them at home, how much load or pressure they put on them, and what the patient's overall biological health is.

The reality is, it all varies. The cost depends on the position of the implant, the type of implant we are using, and how much work we have to do around it.
Sometimes there is additional work. For example, if there is an infected tooth that needs to be removed, we may need to do grafting, wait for healing, and then place the implant. Each of those steps can affect the overall cost.
Your insurance also plays a role. It depends on what insurance you have, how much they cover, and whether we are in-network or out-of-network for your plan. There are many variables, which is why it's hard to give one exact price.
